Ingredients
- 2 cups idli/dosa batter, fermented
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 carrot, grated
- 2 tbsp coriander, chopped
- 1 green chilli, chopped
- 1 tsp mustard seeds, curry leaves
- Oil, salt
Method
- Mix chopped onion, carrot, coriander, green chilli and a pinch of salt into the fermented batter.
- Temper mustard seeds and curry leaves in a little oil and fold into the batter.
- Heat an appe/paniyaram pan and grease each mould with oil.
- Pour batter into each mould, filling about three-fourths full; cover and cook on low-medium heat until the base is golden.
- Flip each with a skewer, cook the other side until golden and cooked through, and serve hot with chutney.
