Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh coriander, finely chopped
- 1 cup besan
- 2 tbsp rice flour
- 1 tsp ginger-green chilli paste
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Oil for frying, salt, water
Method
- Mix chopped coriander, besan, rice flour, ginger-chilli paste, turmeric, sesame seeds, garam masala and salt with a little water into a thick, batter-like dough.
- Steam the mixture in a greased flat tin for 20 minutes until firm and a knife comes out clean.
- Cool and cut into cubes or diamonds.
- Shallow or deep fry the pieces until golden and crisp on the outside.
- Serve hot with green chutney.
