Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups milk
- 3 tbsp tea leaves
- 2 inch ginger, crushed
- 2 tsp sugar (or to taste)
Method
- Bring water to a boil with the crushed ginger, letting it simmer for 3-4 minutes so the ginger's heat and aroma fully infuse into the water.
- Add the tea leaves and boil for 1-2 minutes until the water darkens.
- Pour in the milk and bring it back to a boil, watching the pot closely.
- Simmer for 2-3 minutes until it reaches your preferred strength.
- Add sugar to taste, strain into cups, and serve hot — good for a cold day or an upset stomach.
